wow thank you bing
that was very helpful
I really appreciate it
From a couple of weeks ago~ I look so out of place in this photo lol (♥ω♥*)
We had a date night and then went shopping for jeans, and I wanted to wear my favorite dress from Emily Temple Cute!
I also had to go without a wig that day because it was very windy that day, lol. Sorry about that!
Oh man! I’m not going to pretend like I’m an expert or something on otome-kei, but the way I see it, it’s a very cute and cozy fashion with just a couple of simple guidelines. I like the way the fuckyeahotomekei blog describes it, in that it “focuses on dressing like a young lady”, and you’re looking to put together outfits that you can describe as “cute”, “elegant”, and/or “feminine”. Since it’s a Japanese fashion, you wanna make sure you still keep your chest area covered and make sure your skirts don’t come more than an inch or two above the knee (especially if you go without tall socks or tights). Much like lolita, you don’t see open-toed shoes very often and it’s probably better to keep your shoulders covered too (though some exceptions might be made for this rule in the case of halter-neck tops, as long as they’re not too tight). Feel free to play with lots of cute themes (like florals, foods, or forest animals), though of course solids colors are definitely okay too! Otome doesn’t seem to be super matchy-matchy as far as colors and patterns go, but I’d wait to experiment too much until you get the basics down!
I hope that helps! Also check out this master post on the fuckyeahotomekei blog if you haven’t already! ♥
I figured since 2013 was my first year to buy lolita and my wardrobe is still so small that it wouldn’t really be worth anybody’s time LOL. Last year was kinda like my tutorial level, so I’ll definitely make one next January! Also no, I never got into LJ when I was younger and even though I made one last year I always forget about it hahaha
SO MY FIANCE COMMISSIONED ONE OF OUR FRIENDS TO MAKE THIS FOR ME FOR VALENTINE’S DAY
IT’S LARGER THAN I AM AND TAKES UP MOST OF MY BED
Even though I think I look better in classic lolita, most of my wardrobe is made up of sweet prints, LOL. I’m such a sucker for chocolate ;w;
When I got this skirt in the mail, I was so surprised to see that many of the details were pink because they looked so red on my computer monitor! I’ve also seen lots of people coord this print with red because the deer and bunnies are wearing red ribbons…but I really wanted to give the pink a try! Is it still cute? ♥
Oh! Because I was really unmotivated to finish, LOL. That and my final exams kicked my butt super hard this time around ;w;
So I drew this on Halloween and didn’t actually finish it until today LOL
I have so little art to show for this year…even though I was much busier than last year, I still feel like I was lazy! I’m not usually the kind of person to make New Year’s resolutions, but I promise I’ll try my best to draw more cute art in 2014
